Zappos is seeking an experienced Producer to manage editorial photo and video shoots, a key role in the creation of brand-burnishing content to enhance Zappos’s reputation with customers. The Editorial Producer will partner closely with art directors, stylists, photographers, and cross-functional partners in buying and marketing to bring the brand’s creative vision to life. The position requires excellent collaboration, strong project management skills, and established industry relationships, as well as a quick, creative approach to problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute photo/video shoots both on location around the U.S. and in our Las Vegas and Madison, WI, studios
Manage production budgets for optimal resource allocation
Create detailed shot lists and production schedules in collaboration with art directors and photographers
Source diverse talent, including models and hair/makeup artists
Scout and secure shooting locations that align with creative briefs; manage permitting process
Oversee video production elements, including coordination with post-production teams
Identify and manage outsourced production services when needed
Ensure all deliverables meet timeline and budget requirements
Qualifications
7+ years of production experience, with emphasis on fashion/footwear
Proven track record managing photo/video shoots in a variety of locations
Strong network of industry contacts including modeling agencies, photographers, and creative talent
Expert knowledge of production budgeting and cost management
Experience with both studio and location shooting environments
Strong understanding of video production processes
Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to travel 30-40% of time
Flexible schedule for early/late shoot days
Experience in e-commerce or retail photography production, especially for fashion/footwear brands or multi-brand retailers
Understanding of the performance category
Cool under pressure and able to problem‑solve quickly
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $58,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $124,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
