Responsibilities

Ensures all compliance with rules, regulations and guidelines involving childcare licensure and Head Start

Ensures program performance standards are met

Ensures the Head Start Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (PFCE) Framework is integrated as a systematic component of programming, services, and management systems

Provides oversight and monitoring of family services to ensure high-quality services and positive family outcomes

Provides oversight and monitoring of program attendance compliance

Provides oversight and support with recruitment, enrollment, and registrations of families into the program

Performs supervisory responsibilities including vacancy notification, screening applicants, and preparation of hiring paperwork

Directly supervises and evaluates Family Advocates, including annual performance goal setting, corrective action for performance issues, regular staff meetings, and development of job descriptions

Assumes responsibilities in the absence or vacancy of a family service position

Updates and implements service plans and procedures related to family services, including ERSEA

Relates new or revised policies, procedures and processes to team members to ensure current information

Observes family service staff intake, parent meetings and home visits to provide guidance

Collaborates with the Education Manager to ensure transition services occur within required timelines

Identifies, develops, and/or facilitates training pertinent to the needs of family service staff

Reviews and analyzes reports and directives related to family outcomes and delivery of high-quality services

Facilitates team operations, identifies teamwork issues, and provides problem-solving recommendations

Requirements (Talents, skills, and abilities)

Requires a BS/BA Degree in Human Services, Social Work or a related field

Three (3) years of employment in a leadership position with demonstrated knowledge of program planning and implementation, including supervisory experience

Comprehensive working knowledge of Early Childhood education and Family Systems, including theories of human growth and development, and needs of low-income children

Head Start/Early Head Start experience preferred
