Exceeding Guest Expectations - Provide services that are above and beyond for guest satisfaction and retention. Demonstrating Leadership - Use interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocate sound financial/business decision making; demonstrate honesty/integrity; lead by example. Modeling Appropriate Behaviors - Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors. Making Decisions and Solving Problems - Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Solicit new mid-week/week-end business including food and beverage, banquet and meeting room sales on behalf of the hotels; direct solicitation calls to local businesses and prospective leads; qualify potential new accounts and service and grow existing accounts. Participate in industry and civic organizations to create opportunities for future public relations and new business. Pursue, organize and book sleeping rooms and group business; maintain knowledge of the competition and current marketing strategies. Communicate effectively with all hotel departments to ensure group arrangements are carried out efficiently. Promote a professional positive image of the hotels through appearance, civic functions and public relations. Complete sales objectives and ongoing action plan as directed by the General Manager / Director of Sales; provide follow-up and solicit repeat bookings. Complete weekly and monthly sales reports; respond promptly to sales inquiries and correspondence from customers, prospects and referrals. Conduct weekly proactive sales calls (telephone, appointments, site inspections, trade shows, networking). Qualify and grow existing accounts; confirm group bookings using approved availability and rate guidelines; trace accounts for follow-up. Travel as necessary for sales calls and trade shows; promote all Company managed hotels when appropriate. Respond to requests by the Operational Supervisor and Corporate Director of Sales for reports and assignments. Benefits & Compensation
