Insight Global is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative for a premier client in the North Houston area. This role is required to be onsite 5 days a week, with an opportunity to work remotely one day a week after 90 days. The Carrier Sales Representative will be responsible for a territory and the customers within that territory. The position involves dealing with flatbed / out of gauge carriers and requires experience with heavy haul shipments. The ideal candidate has some customer service background, excellent communication, and a driven sales mindset. The role may include commission once the goal metric is met.
Responsibilities Manage all assigned loads within the assigned territory on a daily basis.
Develop relationships with flatbed carriers to understand carrier capabilities and pricing structure to secure capacity and competitive pricing.
Review carrier service levels to ensure key performance indicators are achieved.
Develop corrective action plans with carriers when performance is below expectations.
Act as an intermediary for communication between carriers and Account Management to meet customer expectations.
Collaborate with Operations Associates to ensure tracking and tracking expectations are achieved.
Escalate potential carrier service failures to Account Management and resolve issues as they arise.
Provide pricing guidance for RFPs and pricing requests.
Provide market intelligence reporting to Account Management and Leadership.
Qualifications Experience with heavy haul shipments and out of gauge projects.
Previous experience working with flatbed carriers.
Ability to manage a territory and build relationships with carriers and customers.
Strong customer service background and excellent communication skills.
