Job Purpose Our Sales Manager will be responsible for developing, leading and executing the business segment’s strategy and profitability, growing sales and gross profit annually. This role will lead a sales team and will collaborate with the Design, Sourcing, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations and Field Sales Teams to develop customer solutions that exceed expectations and uses first‑hand customer information to drive programs and project success.

Job Responsibilities

Work directly with Sales Representatives to grow business in existing and new accounts and conduct annual customer visits.

Direct and coordinate product and service promotions to expand market presence and strengthen competitive positioning.

Mentor and develop the Sales Team to improve performance and support overall sales strategy and growth.

Set sales goals and quotas; provide guidance on sales techniques and share accountability for Division sales results.

Conduct quarterly account reviews and partner with leadership to drive sales growth and profitability through improved gross margins.

Analyze sales statistics to support strategic planning and individual sales performance improvement.

Manage budgeting by reviewing requests, identifying cost‑saving opportunities, and allocating operational funds effectively.

Lead change management, model company values, handle staffing decisions, and foster a positive, team‑oriented sales culture.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications

10+ years of packaging industry sales with extensive experience and service knowledge related to kitting and co‑packing and selling at C‑suite level, is required.

Strong strategic planning capabilities.

Proven track record of providing custom solutions based on providing value, not just a lower price, and profitable sales growth.

Innovative problem solver; recognizing customer needs, providing alternatives and selling and implementing alternative solutions. The Sales Director will develop customer solutions that make the complex simple.

Up to 50% travel may be necessary.

Salary range $125,000 - $200,000

Work Experience

3–5 years of related experience of successful supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports, as well as size up new talent.

Must possess a thorough understanding of the distribution business.

Strong problem‑solving and attention to detail skills are required.

Education Bachelor's Degree
