Overview
At Diversified Air Systems, an MCE Company, we’re growing – and we’re hiring an Outside Sales Representative to help us grow even further! Responsibilities
Establish contact with existing customers, identify new opportunities, and follow up on potential leads. Monitor industry trends to identify emerging markets and develop plans to utilize those markets to expand revenue. Achieves sales goals by retaining existing customers and developing new business. Provide strategic recommendations, pricing, and customized solutions for products and services to meet individual customer needs. Prepare product and service quotations and propose them to potential customers. Negotiate terms and close transactions. Initiate sales calls with customers in industrial applications and deliver presentations highlighting features and benefits of recommended solutions. Develop and maintain successful long-term customer relationships. Oversee delivery, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems. Work with OEMs, engineering, and technical staff to clarify customer needs and develop specifications. Research local markets to identify sales opportunities and competitors. Build rapport with customer base and understand customers’ core business profit drivers. Record account, contract, and sales activities in the CRM on a daily basis. Perform other related duties and progress reporting as assigned. Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Results-oriented sales professional with a minimum of 3 - 5 years sales experience Background in industrial sales is a plus Proven ability to develop and implement strategies to enhance market share Working knowledge of assembly, fabrication, power units, lubrication systems, and electrical controls Experience reading building blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical diagrams is a plus Excellent communication skills with a strength in customer presentations Ability to work independently and within a team Strong work ethic and desire to meet customer needs Associate degree in business, sales, or marketing is a plus Working knowledge of Excel and Office 365 required, Dynamics or other CRM platforms is a plus Proven mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail Valid driver’s license required Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience Physical Requirements
The physical requirements for this position are typical for a mobile employee including constant movement within a wide range of office environments, climbing, standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting 50+ pounds. Work Environment
The work environment for this position includes the constant requirement to operate a motor vehicle and occasional exposure to loud noise and outside temperatures of heat/cold. The environment may occasionally include exposure to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding / high places, and exposure to high heat or chemicals.
