Job Title: Working ORP Retiree - PRN Family Physician

This position is internal to University of Colorado ORP retirees

Job Summary:

The clinician (MD or DO) in this position will function as a PRN family medicine faculty member without clinical responsibilities.

Examples of Work Performed:

Teaching and Mentoring

Provide mentoring to faculty.

Administrative/Professional Development

Maintain eligibility for School of Medicine Retired Faculty.

Keep abreast of the latest developments in field, both academically and through applied skill.

Attend and present at conferences, meetings and trainings in order to maintain certification and enhance professional skills; participate in faculty development activities.

Accept other responsibilities assigned by the Chair and Vice Chair for Research.

Work Location:

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Terminal degree in Medicine or Osteopathy (MD or DO). Board Certified in Family Medicine.

Experience: Graduation from an accredited Family Medicine Residency program and 7+ years' experience working in primary care.

Special Skills: Ability to obtain Colorado Medical License and possession of a current DEA Certificate; ability to be fully credentialed with the UCH system and UPI Managed Care; ability to meet the School of Medicine's criteria for associate professor.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience or interest in education and research and faculty development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Department of Family Medicine faculty and staff.

Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks and maintain a well-organized work environment.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Capacity for flexibility and adaptability in different work situations.

Ability to work well with diverse populations.

Experience training and developing staff.

Ability to meet clinic-specific competencies and expectations.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The hiring rate for this position is $146.09/hour.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
