An exciting new entrant in the regulatory solutions space is seeking a
Senior Director of Business Development . This is a key commercial leadership role where you will be responsible for cultivating new opportunities, supporting account leads, and maximizing client development. The position requires balancing
hands-on business development
with
leading high-impact projects , ensuring seamless execution across sales and delivery. Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales : Develop and implement strategies to expand market presence. Lead BD efforts from proposals through to closing new engagements. Client Delivery : Manage key client accounts and projects, ensuring delivery exceeds expectations and generates measurable impact. Strategic Leadership : Shape strategies that align with client objectives and industry trends. Continuously refine approaches to remain competitive. Problem Solving : Leverage data-driven insights to address complex challenges and deliver transformative solutions. Relationship Management : Build and maintain long-term, trusted partnerships with senior life sciences executives. Communication : Present strategies and solutions clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences. Team Leadership : Mentor cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring project success. Proactivity & Resilience : Take initiative in pursuing opportunities while adapting to fast-paced, evolving client needs. Proven experience leading complex consulting engagements and building senior-level client relationships in the life sciences sector (biotech, pharma, medtech). Ability to balance sales efforts with project execution. Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and storytelling skills for senior executive audiences. Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor teams across multiple functions. Qualifications
7+ years
in business management or consulting, with at least
10+ years in the life sciences sector . Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline ( MBA or advanced degree preferred ). Expertise in
program management, organizational strategy, digital transformation , or related areas. Flexibility to travel up to
80%
and work across US and international time zones. US work authorization and fluency in English required. Why Join
