Job Summary Responsible for scanning, verification, and indexing of paper documents into document imaging system. May provide other administrative or clerical duties to support assigned department.

Responsibilities
Reviews, organizes and evaluates financial and departmental documents for completeness, accuracy and compliance
Communicates with departments, practices, and other healthcare professionals to obtain any missing needed information to ensure completeness and accuracy of the document, if applicable
Prepares documents for placement in high speed scanner using page separators and batch sheets as necessary to delineate documents
Scans sorted documentation into financial or departmental imaging system according to department procedures and workflows, ensuring both quality and productivity meet department standards
Reviews scanned documentation to ensure legibility, accuracy, and completeness through the quality review process/escalation workflow
Processes all incoming and outgoing mail with sorting, delivering, prioritizing financial documents in association with all scanning functions
Demonstrates flexibility in satisfying stakeholders (departments/practices) demands in a high volume, production environment
Meets scanning and productivity and quality standards
Responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of scanners with vendors to ensure life of scanner is maximized
Performs all job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and company policies and procedures
Completes special projects as assigned, other duties as needed
