Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

The mission of the School of Nursing is to enhance and improve the health and well-being of the people of North Carolina and the nation, through education, research, scholarship, clinical practice and community service. The School has a long history of leadership in nursing education in North Carolina.

Position Summary

In this role, you will assist the PI and research team with data management across several research studies, including but not limited to: developing databases (e.g., REDCap, others); facilitating data collection (prospective data collection, electronic health record, EMS data such as prehospital ECGs) and data linkage between prehospital and hospital-based data; gift card management (dissemination to study participants, record keeping, required reports); coordinating collaborative efforts with co-investigators at other sites (domestic and international); maintenance of administrative documentation (IRB applications, modifications, annual renewal); NIH reports (annual project reports, etc.); assist with dissemination (manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, etc.).

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience : Bachelor\'s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience : Data management, organization, and evaluation skills; ability to communicate with collaborators across disciplines; planning, implementation, and evaluation skills; ability to manage several ongoing studies with collaborators at UNC and elsewhere (domestic and international); ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision and maintain excellent communication; strong attention to detail and high level of organization. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience : Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision and maintain excellent communication; strong attention to detail and organization.
