Position Overview

An acute care hospital in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner for a 13-week locum tenens assignment. The provider will work in an outpatient wound care clinic, performing specialized procedures including sharp debridement, biopsies, and biologic skin graft applications.

This is a no-call assignment with full support staff, high patient volume, and the possibility of temporary privileges for expedited start .

Assignment Highlights

Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of wound care experience required

  • Competency in sharp debridement and advanced wound care techniques

  • Familiarity with Epic charting preferred

  • Experience in outpatient clinic settings

  • Ability to manage high patient volume with efficiency and quality care

Job Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic wounds

  • Perform wound care procedures including debridement and biologic grafts

  • Collaborate with wound care physicians and support staff

  • Document and manage patient care in Epic

  • Provide patient and family education on wound care management

  • Support interdisciplinary team goals to optimize healing outcomes
