Exciting Opportunity for a Neonatologist in Cartersville, GA
Pediatrix Medical Group, a national leader in neonatal and pediatric care, is thrilled to offer a full-time position for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Neonatologist. Join us at our newly established Level II NICU at a nationally ranked facility located in Cartersville, a charming suburb just 45 minutes north of downtown Atlanta.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive care to newborns requiring Level II NICU support
- Attend high-risk and C-section deliveries
- Cover a 12-bed newborn nursery, including well-baby care when pediatricians are unavailable
- Rounding in-house during the day
- Take call from home overnight
- Work collaboratively with nurses and allied staff
- Contribute to quality improvement and care coordination initiatives
- Support newborn resuscitation and stabilization as needed
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Neonatology
- Georgia medical license (or willingness to obtain)
- Completed fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Experience or training in Level II NICU care
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start)
- Board certification or eligibility in Neonatology
- Active Georgia medical license (or candidate's ability to obtain one)
- DEA certification before start date
