The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of business intelligence principles, exceptional data modeling capabilities, and advanced proficiency in a leading BI tool. This individual will not only design and maintain robust reporting solutions but, more critically, will leverage data to
solve complex business problems, identify strategic opportunities, and provide compelling recommendations
that drive our forward-thinking initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Problem Solving & Recommendations:
Act as a proactive data partner, engaging with Finance, Marketing, and Operations stakeholders to understand their challenges and objectives. Translate business questions into analytical frameworks, performing in-depth data analysis to
uncover root causes, identify actionable insights, and deliver clear, data-backed strategic recommendations
that influence decision-making. Actionable Reporting & Dashboard Creation:
Develop, publish, and maintain interactive and visually compelling reports and dashboards that go beyond presenting data, effectively communicating
key performance indicators (KPIs)
and insights that enable users to quickly grasp performance, identify trends, and take action. Data Analysis & Insight Generation:
Conduct rigorous statistical and quantitative analysis on large and diverse datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and underlying drivers. Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and
business-relevant narratives
for both technical and non-technical audiences. Cross-Functional Strategic Partnership:
Collaborate extensively with leadership and teams across Finance (e.g., P&L analysis, budgeting), Marketing (e.g., campaign effectiveness, guest behavior), and Operations (e.g., labor optimization, supply chain efficiency) to understand their unique data needs and proactively deliver tailored analytical solutions that directly impact their strategic goals. Data Quality & Governance:
Champion data integrity by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data used in all reporting and analysis. Proactively identify and resolve data discrepancies and contribute to overall data governance best practices.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree a plus. 3+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, or a similar role, with a strong emphasis on strategic reporting and analytical problem-solving. Proficiency in a leading enterprise-level BI tool (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, Looker).
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new BI platforms and technologies. Proven expertise in critically modeling data in a semantic layer , with a deep understanding of dimensional modeling, fact tables, and the nuances of data relationships and complex calculations (e.g., DAX for Power BI). Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into clear analytical approaches and deliver actionable insights. Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and strategic recommendations clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, including senior leadership. Prior experience supporting Finance, Marketing, and/or Operations functions in a multi-unit retail or hospitality environment is highly desirable. A passion for leveraging data to drive business outcomes and a continuous improvement mindset.
