The Mendocino County Office of Education is a public agency whose primary purpose is to provide educational leadership, resources and services to schools to ensure wide-ranging educational opportunities for all students. This mission is accomplished through cooperative efforts with teachers, school districts, families, and communities; through direct instructional programs and administrative services; and through coordination with the California Department of Education and other agencies.

Minimum QualificationsAssociate of Arts Degree or 48 units from an accredited institution, or passing score on a locally-administered proficiency exam;Two years' experience working with special education students or any combination of training and experience that would indicate possession of the above required skills and abilities;BA degree or equivalent in an academic or related subject desirable;Employees will be required to become certified in the following areas: First-Aid, CPR and Professional Assault Crisis Training and Certification (Pro-ACT);Possess or obtain upon employment, a valid California Driver License;Provide proof of automobile insurability;Meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively, including lifting fifty (50) pounds on an occasional basis and in excess of fifty (50) pounds with assistance.Application ProcessTo be considered for this position, the candidate must submit the following:An online application;A signed and dated cover letter stating specific competencies for the position;A resume with clearly described education and employment background, including dates of employment at each organization;A copy of a required Degree or Credential(s) or Transcripts. Employee may elect to be a member of the Mendocino County Federation of School Employees Union.
