OVERALL FUNCTION

Our team is seeking a motivated individual that is passionate about helping others, being part of a team, and growing themselves personally and professionally.

The Financial Representative Assistant role specializes in client service to ensure the maintenance of an efficient, organized office that allows the advisor to focus energy on building client relationships. The assistant is a liaison between the home office, financial advisor, support teams, and clients.

Specific responsibilities of the Financial Representative Assistant may include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain compliant client files
  • Input data, print proposals and gather information at direction of FA in preparation for meetings
  • Correspond with clients, as needed
  • Communicate with home office as needed to supply or obtain information
  • Participate in weekly meetings with FA
  • Fill in at front-desk, as needed

Client Service Support | Non-Securities PRODUCTS

(Non-securities refers to Northwestern Mutual portfolio, fixed or non-variable insurance/products)

  • Process insurance applications for completeness and accuracy
  • Arrange medical, paramedical and any exams necessary for underwriting
  • Contact clients regarding late payments
  • Process incoming non-securities related insurance service requests from clients

Client Service Support | Variable Insurance/Annuity and Investments

  • Process new account opening and maintain current investment accounts
  • At FA’s direction, initiate fund/NMIS transfers, exchanges, and redemption requests
  • Work with network office, NMIS and fund families to resolve client account issues

Qualifications

  • Experience in administrative support or customer service, preferably in the financial services and/or insurance industry
  • Health and life licensed or gain licensing within six months of employment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Continue insurance education through schools, academies, licenses, registrations and designations
