Job Summary
AgVision, a leading software developer and technology solutions company to agribusinesses nationwide, is seeking an energetic and customer focused IT representative to support and deploy proprietary technical systems and solutions geared towards the agribusiness industry. This position requires technical aptitude to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to workstations, servers, networking, backup systems and printers. The employee needs a working knowledge of various hardware, software, operating systems, and diagnostic utilities used in the problem-solving process. Remote and On-Site installation and troubleshooting is required. This position will work directly with other departments within AgVision to collaborate and create solutions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot AgVision’s proprietary applications.
- Facilitate migration process of AgVision’s proprietary applications and solutions.
- Field customer issue requests and log all customer correspondence in detail.
- Stage workstations and servers for installation of operating systems and other software.
- Configure server roles including Active Directory, Group Policy and Remote Desktop Services in accordance with internal processes and procedures.
- Process and document the intake and inventory process for delivery of assets and equipment.
- Configure networks and troubleshoot networking issues relating to DHCP, DNS, VPN connections and Firewalls.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot backup operations for customers.
- Monitor backup jobs and perform periodic data restores in sandbox environments.
- Always communicate clearly with staff and management to ensure effective solutions.
Requirements
- A degree from an accredited two-year program or equivalent technical certification program or work experience.
- Basic working knowledge of Workstations, Servers, Networking and Printers to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain a positive, courteous, and helpful demeanor when working with customers and staff.
- Document processes and procedures as technology and solutions change.
- A passion for technology and a desire to learn.
- A valid driver license and maintain a clean driving record to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and desktop OS, Remote Desktop Services, Virtualization and VPN are a plus
- Working knowledge of AI tools such as Co-Pilot and aptitude to grow AI knowledge
