Location: Mountain View, CA

Salary: $60,000 - $72,000

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

  • Ability to assemble, disassemble and integrate electromechanical systems, wire harnesses
  • Experience working in a server rack environment with radiators and liquid chillers (fluid fittings, hoses, pumps, fans, refrigerant, etc.)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Experience in assembly of electromechanical assemblies, including the use of basic manual and powered hand tools. PCBA handling and ESD safe procedures
  • Experience in building cables & harnesses with connectors. Knowledge of usage of crimping tools
  • Strong ability to take direction and then work independently to get the job done
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • 3 to 5 years of experience

Nice To Have Experience/Skills

  • Workshop or auto shop tool/fabrication experience (torque wrench, drill, tap, etc.)
  • Linux command line experience
  • Basic soldering skills

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assemble, disassemble, rework, and repair electronic modules
  • Assemble multi-module development rigs
  • Assemble and maintain custom server rack setups, including liquid cooling
  • Assemble complex electromechanical assemblies using basic manual and powered hand tools
  • PCBA handling and ESD-safe procedures
  • Apply thermal interface material
  • Build harnesses: select proper wires, cut to length, strip
  • Crimping with proper tools
  • Set up and execution of automated tests: make proper power and data connections, launch tests in a GUI, run pre-scripted commands on the Linux command line
  • Documentation: track work and material through internal systems; follow SOPs; create basic SOPs for basic repeated tasks; capture and communicate issues verbally and in writing
