The Evening Janitor plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at the Benteler Grand Rapids site. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors and surfaces across all areas of the facility.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to maintain hygiene standards.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and report any maintenance or repair needs to the facilities management team.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use, adhering to safety protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently during evening hours with minimal supervision.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, including safe handling procedures.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a consumer support services or similar facility environment.
• Familiarity with environmentally friendly cleaning products and sustainable cleaning practices.
