Summary:
The Accounting Associate is responsible for assisting the accounting team with the Company, as well as auditors and other finance employees. He/she will perform basic bookkeeping functions, which will include data entry, balances, and reconciles accounts according to established guidelines and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Manage account receivables/payables activities, assets, inventories, and expenses.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all regular management reports.
- Enhance reporting frameworks and tools to drive greater financial accountability and acumen across the Company.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes and reporting.
- Prepare data for financial statements, notes, and any other data for audit reports.
- Support SOX compliance.
- Review and analyze purchase orders and contracts.
- Perform various ad-hoc financial modeling and analyses.
- Assist in corporate finance initiatives and monthly processes.
- Maintain Accounting Department SOP and policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
General Responsibilities
- Assist queries in relation to account receivables/payables.
- Manage prepaid/accrual expenses and deferred income.
- Prepare and execute invoices/notes to vendors, employees, and intercompany.
- Review inventories after verifying with the related team.
- Maintain accounting records according to policies.
- Check records for accuracy of coding and calculations.
- Keep track of and verify accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
- Communicate with vendors and various departments in the company to find solutions to outstanding payments and clarify accounting-related issues, procedures, and policies.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS will be helpful.
- Experience in a SOX public reporting environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or equivalent accounting software.
- Experience with SAP and report writing is preferred.
- Team player with a positive work ethic.
