Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the daily operations of their accounting department. This role is responsible for managing financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, experience in payroll and benefits administration, and the ability to lead accounting functions in a fast-paced business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Prepare accurate financial statements and internal reports
- Process payroll for employees (internal and/or external workforce)
- Administer employee benefits programs, including 401(k) contributions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax filings
- Monitor client payments, cash accounts, and expense reporting
- Maintain internal accounting systems and organized digital records
- Coordinate with external CPAs or auditors during annual filings
- Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll practices
Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr
