Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Hours/Schedule: Mon-Fri 8a-4p Full Time 40 hours; exempt

Wage: $55,000 to $65,000 annually based on experience; biweekly pay schedule

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the processing and maintenance of financial records, including employee payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and ensure that all transactions are properly documented.
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and monitor financial activities.
  • Manage transactions, ledger accounts and prepare financial reports.
  • Assist with the employee payroll and corporate tax processing and compliance.
  • Assist auditing team with performance and completion of annual fiscal audit report.
  • Seek ways to enhance and improve our bookkeeping and financial processes and systems.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, post high-school education and certificate courses related to bookkeeping and/or accounting.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounting computer software, with emphasis on Quick Books online.
  • Experience in payroll processing and payroll systems, such as Paychex Flex.
  • Proficient ability to operate computer and office equipment.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Share Point.
  • Ability to professionally communicate internally with co-workers and leaders; as well as externally with stakeholders, service providers and those that we serve.

Eligible for full benefit package upon successful completion of the 60-day probationary period.
