Senior Delivery Consultant – Application Modernization, AWS Professional Services Application deadline: Jan 6, 2026

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Delivery Consultant to join the Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team. In this role you will design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet customers’ technical requirements and business objectives. You will lead the architecture of complex, scalable, and secure solutions, gather requirements, assess current applications, and propose effective migration strategies. As a trusted advisor you will provide guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs.

Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies.

Act as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts.

Lead as a tech lead or head a high‑performing consulting team.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of architecting or operating solutions on any cloud service provider (Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.).

Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience leading application architecture, design, and modernization projects, including cloud‑based solutioning (AWS or equivalent) with AI and automation.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS Professional level certification, or Associate’s degree or above.

Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape.

Proficiency with a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation).

Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python).

Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Experience leading large‑scale software development and modernization initiatives, with deep expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, Microservices) and Generative AI tools.

Proven ability to lead software engineering best practices across testing, source control, code reviews, and deployment/release management processes.

Compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The Colorado base pay for this position ranges from $153,600/year up to $207,800/year. The National base pay ranges from $138,200/year in the lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in the highest. Pay is based on location and may vary with knowledge, skills, and experience.
