We are currently seeking an Associate Attorney who shares our passion for advocacy and justice.

About the Role As an Associate Attorney, you will manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters (medical malpractice, sexual abuse, vehicle accidents, etc.) from intake through resolution. You will work closely with the firm’s Partners and our clients to understand their stories, develop legal strategies, and negotiate fair settlements or prepare for trial. This position is ideal for a driven attorney who wants to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives while learning the skills of a trial lawyer.

Key Responsibilities

Handle all aspects of plaintiff personal injury cases, including intake, investigation, pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement, trial and appeal.

Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.

Review medical records, police reports, and expert opinions to build strong case strategies.

Represent clients in depositions, mediations, and court proceedings.

Negotiate settlements to maximize client recovery.

Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management and excellent client service.

Maintain organized case files and adhere to firm policies, court deadlines, and ethical standards.

Keep clients appropriately informed of the progress of their case.

Stay current on personal injury law, firm protocols, and client service best practices.

Attend Bar Association events (approximately 6-10 per year).

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Active license to practice law in Illinois and good standing with the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission.

1–5 years of experience in personal injury, tort, or civil litigation (plaintiff experience strongly preferred).

Excellent oral and written advocacy skills.

Strong negotiation and analytical abilities.

Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) are a plus.
