Job Summary As a Senior Manager within the Cat Digital Product Management team, the incumbent will lead a team responsible for rental data to support the acceleration of rental dealers. The team brings stability and consistency to rental reporting, manages the long‑term backend transition of third‑party data to an enterprise common source, and ensures data input that calculates rental performance metrics is properly managed. This manager will lead data scientists, collaborate with dealers, and influence business partners for success.
What You Will Do INITIAL BUSINESS VALIDATION:
Lead dealer discussions and capture initial business logic
Ensure data quality level passes validation (with sign off)
Develop and deploy dealer data notification alerts (DNA) to ensure data completeness
Rental Business Data Management
Ensure accurate monthly results for invoices, contracts, and dealer fleet
Facilitate transition of a third‑party data provider to an enterprise safe source for rental reporting
Execute simulations on future logic changes
Business Performance Reporting
Calculate and maintain key rental performance metrics
Provide key input into target setting
Facilitate monthly communications covering release notes and training opportunities

Effective Communications – Translate complex information into clear, actionable ideas for diverse stakeholders.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) – Design, implement, and evaluate acceptance tests for end‑users.
Business Analysis – Identify business needs and recommend value‑creating solutions.
Top Candidates Will Have
Demonstrated ability to build teams, processes, and organizational frameworks.
Experience leading and influencing others in a matrix environment with geographically dispersed teams.
Knowledge of large‑scale data processing tools such as PySpark, Splink, or equivalent.

Position may be based in Chicago, IL, Peoria, IL, or Irving, TX (Dallas).

Summary Pay Range $156,000.00 – $253,560.00
Compensation and benefits may vary based on location, level, and individual performance. Salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
