Job Summary As a Senior Manager within the Cat Digital Product Management team, the incumbent will lead a team responsible for rental data to support the acceleration of rental dealers. This team will bring stability and consistency to rental reporting, manage the long-term backend transition of third‑party data to an enterprise common source, and ensure data input calculating rental performance metrics are properly managed. The Senior Manager will lead a team of data scientists, collaborate with dealers, and influence business partners for success.
What You Will Do
Lead dealer discussions and capture initial business logic
Ensure data quality level passes validation (with sign off)
Develop and deploy dealers data notification alerts (DNA) to ensure data completeness
Ensure accurate monthly results for invoices, contracts, and dealer fleet
Facilitate transition of a third‑party data provider to an enterprise safe source for rental reporting
Execute simulations on future logic changes
Calculate and maintain key rental performance metrics
Key input into target setting
Facilitate monthly communications covering release notes and training opportunities
What You Will Have
Decision Making and Critical Thinking:
Knowledge of the decision‑making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Effective Communications:
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the appropriate communication behaviors.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement, and evaluate acceptance tests for end‑users.
Business Analysis:
Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
Top Candidates Will Have
Demonstrate the ability to build teams, processes and organizational frameworks
Ability to lead and influence others in a matrix environment with geographically dispersed teams
Knowledge of large‑scale data processing tools such as PySpark, Splink, or other equivalent tools, etc.
Additional Details
This position has the option to be based in Chicago, IL, Peoria, IL, or Irving, TX (Dallas)

Summary Pay Range $156,000.00 - $253,560.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
