Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a well-established engineering and consulting firm in the Boston area to help them hire an
Energy Analyst . This role is part of a growing sustainability and energy consulting team supporting projects focused on decarbonization, energy modeling, and building performance optimization. The position offers the opportunity to work across multiple disciplines, contributing to sustainable design initiatives for high-profile institutional and commercial clients. Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed
energy modeling and analysis
using tools such as Trane Trace, eQuest, or similar software.
Support projects related to
LEED certification, Passive House design, and deep energy retrofits .
Conduct building HVAC system evaluations and decarbonization studies.
Analyze energy performance data and provide actionable insights to project teams.
Research and document
utility rebate and incentive opportunities .
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and sustainability professionals on multidisciplinary design projects.
Prepare clear, well-written reports summarizing energy findings and recommendations.
Participate in occasional site visits to collect data and verify conditions.
Qualifications and Must-Haves
Bachelor’s degree in
Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related discipline , or equivalent experience.
1–5 years of experience in
energy modeling or building performance analysis .
Strong understanding of
HVAC systems
and mechanical design fundamentals.
Familiarity with
ASHRAE standards, IECC, and Massachusetts Stretch Energy Code .
Experience with modeling software such as
Trane Trace, eQuest, WUFI, or EnergyPlus .
Excellent communication, time management, and technical writing skills.
EIT, PE, LEED AP, or CPHC
credentials a plus.
Pay Details:
