Media & Communications Manager (Global Fintech Brand, Up to $165K Base, Plus Performance Bonus) What You’ll Do

Own the story.

You’ll be the voice of the brand, leading day‑to‑day media relations and pitching compelling stories that resonate with key finance and fintech audiences.

Be a connector.

Leverage your existing network of U.S. financial media contacts to secure coverage and drive our strategic narratives.

Coach our leaders.

Serve as the key liaison for our spokespeople, designing interview themes and guiding messaging for external engagements, from live interviews to industry events.

Amplify the message.

Represent the company at conferences and public events, and find innovative ways to market the app through podcasts, videos, and webinars.

Collaborate and create.

Partner with Product, Marketing, and Growth teams to uncover newsworthy angles. Draft press releases, media briefs, and thought‑leader profiles that elevate the brand.

Manage the flow.

Direct routine press relations in‑house, bringing in agency support only for major campaigns, and you’ll be the first point of contact for media inquiries.

Track and refine.

Monitor media coverage, analyze performance, and use those insights to continually refine strategy.

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

5-8 years of U.S.-based PR/media relations experience, with at least 3 years focused on financial or fintech communications. Experience with online broker‑dealers or investment platforms is a major plus.

A strong network:

Established relationships with U.S. financial and business media editors and reporters, with a proven track record of securing placements.

Deep knowledge:

A solid understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulatory contexts. Ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging content for a broad audience.

Exceptional communication:

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Coach executives and handle high‑stakes interviews.

Strategic and organized:

A self‑starter who can manage multiple projects and campaigns while navigating tight deadlines.

Media savvy:

A keen understanding of the U.S. finance media landscape, with a knack for crafting a compelling pitch and anticipating editorial risks.
