Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for performing a range of manufacturing tasks related to reagents and buffers. The role involves troubleshooting formulations, filling processes, packaging, and conducting Quality Control procedures. You will work in a collaborative environment, supporting R&D and process improvement activities to meet production goals.
Responsibilities
Perform assigned manufacturing tasks for reagents and buffers as assigned by the Supervisor/Lead. Troubleshoot formulations, filling processes, packaging, and analytical techniques. Conduct Quality Control procedures for consumables. Perform data collection and analysis. Process work orders to complete products to inventory. Execute and improve batch records and SOPs. Identify gaps and weaknesses in SOPs and formulations for finished goods and component materials. Maintain accurate inventory of materials through cycle counts, ordering, and receipt of materials. Operate in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with other scientists, engineers, and manufacturing personnel. Lead kit support and line operations. Perform simple buffer formulation under 50L. Provide fill support. Engage in other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Experience with SOPs, BRs, and WIs. Hands-on experience with pH, conductivity meter, UV-vis, and other standard lab equipment. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in teams. Highly organized and flexible. Detail-oriented with strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficient in Excel, Word, Confluence, web-based, or similar programs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with developing and updating BOMs is preferred. Experience with formulation, fill, packaging, and chromatography in a laboratory setting is preferred. A Bachelor of Science degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, or other related life science discipline preferred, with 1-2 years of relevant experience in consumable manufacturing (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered).
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
