Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for performing a range of manufacturing tasks related to reagents and buffers. The role involves troubleshooting formulations, filling processes, packaging, and conducting Quality Control procedures. You will work in a collaborative environment, supporting R&D and process improvement activities to meet production goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned manufacturing tasks for reagents and buffers as assigned by the Supervisor/Lead.
- Troubleshoot formulations, filling processes, packaging, and analytical techniques.
- Conduct Quality Control procedures for consumables.
- Perform data collection and analysis.
- Process work orders to complete products to inventory.
- Execute and improve batch records and SOPs.
- Identify gaps and weaknesses in SOPs and formulations for finished goods and component materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory of materials through cycle counts, ordering, and receipt of materials.
- Operate in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with other scientists, engineers, and manufacturing personnel.
- Lead kit support and line operations.
- Perform simple buffer formulation under 50L.
- Provide fill support.
- Engage in other duties as assigned.
- Experience with SOPs, BRs, and WIs.
- Hands-on experience with pH, conductivity meter, UV-vis, and other standard lab equipment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in teams.
- Highly organized and flexible.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Confluence, web-based, or similar programs.
- Experience with developing and updating BOMs is preferred.
- Experience with formulation, fill, packaging, and chromatography in a laboratory setting is preferred.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, or other related life science discipline preferred, with 1-2 years of relevant experience in consumable manufacturing (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered).
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in San Diego,CA.
