The
Accounting Manager
will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and adherence to internal controls. The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of GAAP and corporate financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Lead the month‑end and year‑end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
Oversee account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and corporate policies.
Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a high‑performance team culture.
Partner with cross‑functional departments to support business decisions and process improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, CPA or CMA preferred.
8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
Experience with SAP.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Experience
Experience in manufacturing
Familiarity with multi‑entity consolidations and intercompany transactions.
