Job Description The Store Manager position is a salaried role that provides daily leadership to all positions within the store, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Guest Care Specialists, and Assistant Store Manager. Reporting to the District Manager, the Store Manager is responsible for selecting, coaching, and developing teammates, enforcing sales and service standards, managing finances, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Develop sales and technical teammates to produce a consistent 5-star Guest experience.

Achieve sales goals by assisting in the development and implementation of sales plans, and by ensuring thorough knowledge of services and products.

Introduce tire and service products to guests to maximize sales and loyalty.

Train and develop teammates on all shop operations and guest services, supporting a productive sales environment.

Provide direction and oversight to technicians and assist with services/repairs as needed.

Ensure the store is effectively staffed by managing recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and performance management.

Control expenses, including payroll, telephone usage, maintenance, repairs, supplies, utilities, and other controllable costs.

Manage inventory, including pulling tires and parts and staging inventory.

Audit team‑performed courtesy inspections.

Maintain store cleanliness and guest‑ready condition to Monro standards.

Schedule guest appointments and assign teammates based on skill level for efficient and timely completion of vehicle services/repairs.

Communicate tire and service product recommendations and sales promotions to achieve sales goals.

Address all guest needs in sales, service, complaints, and adjustments.

Build guest relationships to maximize satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.

Assist teammates in conveying repair and service needs to guests.

Adhere to company policies, procedures, environmental codes, ASNI/OSHA standards, and safety protocols.

Maintain technical knowledge through timely completion of required Monro University training courses and modules.

Operate and maintain equipment safely in accordance with Monro and manufacturer guidelines, including lifts, welders, brake lathes, etc.

Perform other duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Demonstrated leadership experience in a retail/sales environment.

Proven ability to manage, drive, and deliver financial results while controlling costs.

Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve set goals and objectives.

Problem‑solving skills related to inventory, merchandising, and customer service.

Effective communication skills with teammates and guests.

Completion of all Monro required training per guidelines and timing.

Current valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to lift, carry, and stock merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs. without assistance.

Frequent standing and walking for extended periods.

Frequent reaching overhead, below the knees, squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.

Compensation The yearly salary for this role is $65,000–$72,000. This role is eligible for additional compensation and incentives. Pay will be determined based on experience level.
