Assistant Store Manager Job Type:

Full Time The candidate must have open availability on weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnights.

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Store Manager, assist the Store Manager in developing, leading, and motivating a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience that supports building brand loyalty and achieving financial targets.

Act as the Manager on Duty as assigned by Store Management and represent Curaleaf as a brand ambassador by providing top-notch customer service and educating guests on our products.

Proactively communicate with Store Manager, District Manager and cross-functional partners to maximize revenue opportunities.

Model selling behaviors aligned with the brand culture to build loyal customer relationships and achieve financial targets.

Monitor and analyze customer service, provide feedback and coaching to team members.

Share customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive and delightful guest experience.

Supervise store operations and team members, including opening/closing, shift changes, task delegation, and scheduling.

Control store cash handling activities and oversee bookkeeping including ledger, invoices, cash reports, and time records.

Analyze inventory trends and supervise inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and preventing outs/overstock.

Maintain knowledge of computer and technology systems and software (e.g., registers, LeafLogix).

Comply with company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.

Complete special assignments and assist team members as needed; travel to other locations for training or coverage as required.

Travel Requirements: 10% - 25%

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail and/or customer service in a high-paced selling environment.

Minimum of 1 year of retail supervisory experience.

Strong business acumen with understanding of measuring success through financial targets and key performance indicators.

Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Willingness to work a flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.

Experience in a heavily regulated industry.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Strong salesmanship skills and experience driving revenue.

Experience with cash handling and POS operations.

Ability to learn quickly and share information with broad audiences.

Ability to work independently and take initiative; empowered to run the business in the Store Manager's absence.

Previous experience in the cannabis industry.

Physical and Work Environment Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and fingers to feel, reach with arms, and lift up to 25 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, and lift up to 50 pounds. This position requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).

Work Environment:

Professional retail environment. Standard office equipment and POS systems are used. Potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens; may require working in confined spaces, with high stress tolerance, adaptability, and flexibility in a changing environment.
