Hardware Systems Engineer (Failure Analysis)
We are seeking a Hardware System Engineer with Failure Analysis experience to join our team in Cupertino. In this role, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and develop complex analysis tools that help characterize world‑class hardware products. You will work closely with the Hardware, Module, and Design & Validation teams to drive innovation and ensure product excellence.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain analysis tools for hardware characterization and validation.
Collaborate with hardware, module, and validation engineers to define requirements and deliver high‑quality solutions.
Perform functional verification and failure analysis of consumer electronics hardware and systems.
Write and run test scripts, conduct hardware testing, and analyze resulting data.
Apply Electrical Engineering fundamentals to debug, analyze, and validate hardware modules.
Document designs, methodologies, and findings with strong technical writing for internal and cross‑functional use.
Manage tasks independently in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
Required Skills & Experience
Must have experience in Hardware/EE validation and Failure Analysis.
Excellent Python development experience to write tests and analyze data.
Experience with hardware modules or sub‑systems in consumer products such as hardware, power, displays, touch systems, camera, and/or audio systems.
Solid understanding of core Electrical Engineering fundamentals.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Shell, Unix is a plus.
Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work independently in dynamic, high‑pressure settings.
BS (or higher) in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Location:
Cupertino, California (onsite Monday through Friday)
Pay Rate Range:
$65-$80/h (DOE)
