What will you be doing?

Ability to communicate well with global distributed teams.

Independently design, code, unit test, and deliver testable user stories.

Demonstrate solutions through documentation, diagrams, code comments with optimized code.

Lead and mentor a team of engineers, including offshore teams.

Maintain security standards compliance.

Engage with key stakeholders, internal and external.

Analyze issues in detail and provide multiple solution approaches to a problem statement.

Develop high‑quality applications that meet the performance and scalability standards in a multi‑distributed platform.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in computer science, software engineering, or related field preferred.

8+ years of enterprise software development experience.

Extensive experience aligning data from disparate sources with varying granularity.

Extensive experience in Linux or Unix OS or Big Data scripting languages (Python, Spark, PySpark, Scala).

Experience with Apache Hadoop.

Experience working with third‑party job scheduler.

Strong communication and leadership skills required.

Agile Scrum experience required.

Must have experience working with offshore and global distributed teams.

Large‑scale big data experience.

Preferences

Experience with Control‑M, Airflow a plus.

Retail Industry Experience Is Preferred

Business intelligence and analytics industry experience is a plus.

Location This position can be located in the following area(s): Chicago/Remote.

The salary range for this role is $110,000/yr to $145,000/yr. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
