Senior Engineer, Test Automation The Senior Engineer, Test Automation who will be reporting into the enterprise Quality Engineering Lead, will help design and delivery of enterprise-grade test automation solutions across our application portfolio including our cloud and SaaS platforms. The scope includes DuckCreek Policy and Billing platform, external & internal Portals, Binding Authority, Bordereau, ImageRight and other enterprise applications. In the beginning, this will be an individual contributor role, with expectations of gradually also owning oversight on test automation delivery by other team members. The role will be responsible for test automation framework level changes, work prioritization, providing technical guidance to other test automation and manual test engineers, and includes close collaboration with application delivery teams (BA, DEV, PO, UAT), and project stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes through automated test solutions for our underwriting, claims, and policy administration functions. The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of IT experience, with a strong background in software test automation and quality engineering processes, with experience in P&C insurance technology, modern cloud-native solutions and knowledge of Duck Creek platform and APIs. Responsibilities

Design and develop test automation for Binding Authority, DuckCreek Policy & Billing, Portals (external and internal), Underwriting Desktop, Forms, and workflow integrations (e.g., ImageRight). Maintaining and enhancing existing inventory of automated regression test suites built using TAC/Regression Runner (for DuckCreek), AccelQ(for Portals, Binding Authority) Work under Quality Engineering Lead’s supervision to execute identified roadmap for driving value through adoption of test automation into overall delivery lifecycle. Review and provide inputs towards consolidating various test automation tools/frameworks into chosen few Though mostly a technical individual contributor role, you\'ll also manage test automation specific deliverables of a small team of Quality Engineers (FTE and Consultants) in US and Offshore. Collaborate with other engineering team members and leaders to make sure our test automation solutions help meet the performance and quality goals of various initiatives and bring in efficiency as well as standardization to the test automation output. Embed test automation planning into overall quality engineering life cycle and support effort estimation as well as resource planning in overall project management process. Use Jira Xray as a foundation for documenting test automation scripts and integrate automated and unattended execution of scripts on our virtual test infrastructure. Help establish a process for automated capture and measurement of Quality Engineering metrics from Jira Xray. Function as the key escalation point for complex test automation scenarios (Forms automation, E2E Integration with 3rd Parties, AI Tokenization). Participate in business requirement gathering sessions and collaborate with developers, BAs, quality engineers to identify test automation scope and build required test approaches Review and provide feedback on test automation scripts design, test data management approach and compliance with best practices. Participate in all phases of product life cycle, from inception to production support. Drive adoption of Quality Engineering best practices, DevOps automation, and CI/CD pipelines across application delivery teams and mentor other quality engineers. Qualifications

Have a minimum of 8 years’ hands-on working experience as a test automation engineer, with at least 4 years of those as a Lead or Senior Engineer. Have a strong technology background in programming and experience with various tools and frameworks used in the Software testing industry Direct expertise with Duck Creek Policy platform and related API ecosystem. Experience and test automation skills using AccelQ and TAC/Regression Runner is a must. Expertise and experience with other test automation tools and frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, DuckCreek TAC/Regression Runner, Cypress, Python etc. are huge advantages. Test Management using Jira Xray (or similar), and integration with CI/CD Pipelines with Azure DevOps (or similar) Well versed with quality engineering practices (Test Strategy, Test Planning, Estimation, Defect Management etc.) Have ability to drive and oversee delivery of test automation scripts/data from a small team of employees and contractors in US and Offshore. Have domain knowledge in specialty P&C insurance applications (Policy, Billing, Claims). Familiarity with and a track record of identifying functional and regression test automation scope and planning effectively for it. Proficiency in automated testing of solutions built using .NET Core, Angular, React, REST APIs, microservices, and web application design. Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and cloud-native architectures. Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL), data integration, and data security best practices. Deep understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work across technical and business teams. Effective verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Detail-oriented, organized and drive to follow through and deliver. Capacity to set expectations and be self-directed. This is not a fully remote position. Applicants must sit in our Morristown, NJ office on our hybrid work schedule. Salary range specific to for this role : $113,000-$140,000 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, and qualifications. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
