The Marketing & Communications Project Specialist is an important member of the Project Management Office (PMO), supporting both project and program-level initiatives that drive key business priorities. This role coordinates timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication to ensure effective execution of marketing and communications initiatives. The Project Specialist gains exposure to program-level work by assisting with cross‑functional efforts, preparing documentation, and helping to connect interrelated projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, eager to grow into larger program management responsibilities, and thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Program Support
Coordinate end‑to‑end project execution, including scope, schedules, deliverables, and reporting.
Support program planning, connecting project‑level work to overall objectives.
Translate goals into actionable steps, monitor progress, and identify potential solutions for leaders.
Maintain accurate documentation, trackers, and dashboards (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Office).
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
Partner with cross‑functional teams across the Village—marketing, communications, creative, digital, analytics, operations, and other business functions—as well as external vendors to ensure alignment and delivery.
Provide clear, timely updates to stakeholders on project and program deliverables.
Assist in preparing progress/outcomes presentations, reports, and executive updates.
Help facilitate meetings by documenting next steps, following up on action items, and ensuring alignment across participants.
Operational Support & Continuous Improvement
Contribute to developing and refining frameworks, templates, and processes that support program consistency and scalability.
Capture lessons learned and share insights to strengthen team efficiency.
Apply data and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend enhancements.
Collaboration & Growth
Build trust‑based relationships across functions, demonstrating accountability and teamwork.
Actively engage in DaVita’s Core Values, contributing to a positive and collaborative culture.
Pursue learning opportunities in program and project management methodologies to expand responsibilities.

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Business, Organizational Leadership)
1‑3+ years of experience in project coordination, marketing/communications, or related field
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
Strong organizational and time‑management skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, or similar)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Exposure to project or program management practices (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies)
Experience in a matrixed or cross‑functional work environment
Interest in pursuing project/program management certifications (e.g., CAPM, PMP)
