Critical Infrastructure - 1st Shift PT Security Officer

07:00 – 19:00
Starting Compensation:
$18 to $20.45 per hour (includes 27 hours of paid training starting at minimum wage of $18 per hour)

Responsibilities
Provide customer service and carry out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem-solving skills.
Minimum Qualifications And Education
In possession of an approved Florida Class “D” license from DOACS.
In possession of a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
Proof of high school diploma, college degree, or valid state GED.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
Minimum of one year of work experience in security or supervisory positions.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Reliably available personal transportation and ability to commute to various job sites.
24/7 access to a smartphone (Android, iPhone, or Windows) and internet-enabled computer.
Intermediate computer skills (email, web browsing, MS Word, Adobe PDF).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to work safely in commercial and industrial environments.
Able to obtain personal uniform items as required.
Good physical condition; able to walk short distances, lift up to 50 pounds.
Maintain neat professional appearance and adhere to grooming standards.
Pass a drug test and background investigation.
Complete all mandated training within deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Possession of an approved Florida Armed Class “G” Security License and completion of a 28-hour Armed Security Officer Course.
Knowledge of maritime security enforcement guidelines, MTSA, and Hillsborough County regulations.
CPR and first aid certifications or willingness to obtain them.
Prior veteran, military or law enforcement experience (documentation required at application).
