Engineering Manager, Privy at

Stripe Privy’s mission is to make privacy and user ownership the default online. We build simple, flexible developer tooling that enables products to put users first by applying modern cryptography to protect digital ownership. SEO has been turned to a product that shifts the status quo around online privacy. Responsibilities

Own long‑term team outcomes and the success of Privy’s product and business. Hold the team accountable to excellence in quality, throughput, and performance. Ensure the team is working on the right scope of work and projects, aligning decisions with business impact and building interfaces with other parts of the organization. Act as a player‑coach—review PRs, write and review design docs, investigate incidents, and reinforce our builder culture. Coach engineers toward growth and their career goals. Build a supportive, fun, motivating, celebratory team culture so that the team wins every week. Partner with the team’s Tech Lead and Product Manager to drive successful engineering and product outcomes. Minimum Requirements

Deep ownership and a high‑level perspective on driving overall business impact. Performance‑oriented mindset, with a high bar for quality and excellence. Technical excellence to independently evaluate quality and technical feedback. High emotional maturity, insightfulness, and care. Strong past experience as a manager and leader, with excellent management capabilities. Preferred Qualifications

Published work (code, presentations, papers, blog posts, etc.). Preferred experience in an API‑based business and in payments, fintech, or crypto. Compensation & Benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $236,000 – $354,000. Additional benefits include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, a 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and wellness stipends. Location & Work Expectations

Office‑assigned Stripe employees in most U.S. locations are expected to spend at least 50% of the time in their local office or with users. Expectations may vary by role, team, and location.
