Direct Service Provider (DSP) / Caregiver – Overview
Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), a non‑profit service provider in North Carolina and Virginia, is seeking compassionate, caring, and dedicated individuals to become full‑time or part‑time Caregivers (internally known as DSPs).
DSPs will serve clients with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges who live in our group homes.
Work Schedule & Locations
Location: High Point, NC. Shift: Part‑time. Schedule: Saturday 8 a.m.–10 p.m., Sunday 6 a.m.–10 p.m., Monday 6 a.m.–8 a.m., and every other weekend.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities, including employment support and social engagement.
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of client progress.
Provide care in a residential group‑home setting and transport residents to community activities as needed.
Help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities develop skills for greater independence.
Benefits
Competitive hourly rate of $15 per hour.
Set shift schedules.
Paid training for required courses: CPR / First Aid, Crisis Intervention Techniques, Medication Administration, OSHA/Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP), Seizure Management, and additional relevant training.
