Description We are seeking a detail‑oriented and innovative Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of advanced electrical systems for defense and space applications. This role focuses on cable harness and tray assembly schematics, wire harness design, and wire routing, with a strong emphasis on proficiency in Mentor Graphics Capital or Siemens Capital Harness.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain electrical schematics for cable harnesses and tray assemblies using Mentor Graphics Capital or Siemens Capital Harness.
Design and document wire harnesses and routing for complex subsystems.
Collaborate with mechanical and systems engineering teams to ensure proper integration of electrical components.
Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in lab environments.
Generate and manage BOMs, connector tables, and wire lists for manufacturing and assembly.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal design guidelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Hands‑on experience with Mentor Graphics Capital or Siemens Capital Harness is essential.
Strong understanding of cable harness design, wire routing, and electrical integration.
Familiarity with aerospace or defense electrical systems and standards.
Ability to interpret and create detailed schematics and wiring diagrams.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in defense, aerospace, or space system development environments.
Knowledge of EMI/EMC considerations and electrical safety standards.
Hands‑on experience in lab environments or with electrical prototyping.
Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $87.00/hr.
