Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CNC programs for a variety of machines, including turrets, lasers, waterjets, and routers, to produce high-precision components. The ideal candidate will bring advanced technical skills and a commitment to quality in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program Development: Create and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
Machine Programming: Develop programs for CNC turrets, lasers, waterjets, and routers to meet production requirements.
Toolpath Optimization: Design efficient toolpaths to reduce cycle times while maintaining part quality and machine safety.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to programming, tooling, or machining processes to maintain production efficiency.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of programs, setups, and modifications for traceability and process improvement.
Experience / Education
Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming within a manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in machining or manufacturing preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Working knowledge of SolidWorks for 3D modeling
Expertise in Mastercam for CNC programming and toolpath generation.
Experience programming turrets, lasers, waterjets, and routers.
Ability to edit G-code is a plus.
Experience with Striker systems is a plus.
Familiarity with Elucad software is a plus.
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform physical activities, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, and working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.
