Duties You will conduct Weapon Control Systems system integration efforts, including but not limited to developing software requirements and design, programming, integration, trouble shooting, and data analysis. You will provide leadership through mentoring, supporting the project software development processes and collaborating across all functional areas within the organization and among external stakeholders You will develop and write/code new (or modify existing) computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs following software assurance best practices. You will analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. You will confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design application and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. You will correct errors by making appropriate changes and rechecking the program to ensure desired results are produced. You will modify and maintain existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.

Requirements Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
