Overview

The salary range for this position is dependent on experience level, ranging from $103,939 to $129,924. Develop and manage the enterprise document control system, processes and procedures that govern document control for capital projects across Avangrid Networks. Lead the design, maintenance, enhancement, and administration of the document control system (ProjectWise); ensure compliance with NERC, CIP, ISO certification and all Avangrid security standards and requirements including access control for authorized internal and external users. Partner with global counterparts to ensure alignment of processes, systems, and procedures. Support project teams and business units across all operating companies to ensure compliance with Avangrid’s document control policies, processes, and procedures.

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplined teams of internal and external resources who provide document control support to project units for Electric, Gas, and Customer-funded business areas across all operating companies

Collaborate and align with corporate departments responsible for legal and regulatory compliance

Provide energizing leadership: promote a culture of collaboration, efficiency, innovation, and quality across business areas. Promote continual growth and development to advance business objectives. Ensure consistent, constructive, and clear development and performance feedback mechanisms are established to build and promote a high functioning team focused on the achievement of complex business objectives

Prioritize objectives, navigate competing priorities and mediate cross functional issues

Promote innovation through automation and process efficiencies in day-to-day work streams

Investigate and apply industry best practices

Develop, monitor and control team’s departmental OPEX budget

Manage system administration team, ensuring security of business information through access control and permissions for authorized internal and external users

Standardize document control processes and procedures across Avangrid Operating Companies and business units

Provide subject matter expertise for document management policies and procedures

Ensure compliance with Avangrid document control policies, practices and procedures (e.g., NERC, CIP, Security)

Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization to inform and influence others, providing strategic input for business plans and decision making

Develop and implement best-in-class training to ensure a high level of understanding and competency of document control standards and processes throughout the entire organization

Hire and train internal and external resources to support the growing organization

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree a plus.

7 – 10 years practical experience, at least 5 of which are in document control.

Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and lead a multidisciplined team responsible for providing the tools, reporting, and training needed to manage document control

Strong knowledge of PMBOK as well as industry standards including FERC, NERC, CIP, any other applicable regulation.

Proven ability to successfully manage and influence in highly matrixed environment.

Demonstrated excellent oral and written skills including the ability to oversee and/or prepare sufficient documentation for a variety of stakeholders and executive level presentations and reporting.
