Base pay range $70.60/hr - $80.30/hr

Summary:

The main function of a software engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. A typical software engineer researches, designs, develops and tests operating system-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific and general computing applications.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain applications for Android OS-based smartphones using modern Android tech stack.

Increase quality and stability of our software products, identify bugs, increase test coverage and implement tools to prevent regressions in our apps.

Work with new generation of consumer hardware, set up integrations between this new hardware and existing companion apps on Android and iOS.

Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues.

Develop software on Android (required) and iOS (preferred) tech stack.

Coordinate feature launches across multiple teams, maintain quality standards and test coverage.

Work with the next generation of Android-based consumer hardware, being able to flash firmware and use command line tools to change device state.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.

Pay Transparency The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is:

$70.60 - $80.30/hour . Non‑exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full‑time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
