Role Overview

The role plays a critical part in shaping how people’s data is collected, analyzed, and presented across the organization. It leads the development and delivery of HR reporting, dashboarding, and analytics capabilities using Workday as the core HR data platform, complemented by tools like Power BI and other reporting technologies. The manager oversees the creation of standardized global HR metrics, ensures data integrity, and partners with HR and business leaders to translate data into actionable insights that drive business decisions and enhance workforce strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Workday reports, scorecards, and dashboards supporting global HR metrics and KPIs.

Provide data‑driven insights to support workforce planning, talent management, and operational reporting.

Partner with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to define, track, and report standardized global HR metrics.

Build and maintain a library of recurring and ad hoc HR reports for leadership, compliance, and audits.

Design and manage Power BI dashboards integrating data from Workday and other HR systems.

Data Management & Governance

Serve as the data steward for HR data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment across global regions.

Collaborate with HRIS and IT to define and enforce data governance, definitions, and quality standards.

Support data integration initiatives between Workday and other systems to ensure seamless analytics.

Partner with internal audit, data privacy, and compliance teams on data integrity and privacy best practices.

Insights & Continuous Improvement

Deliver actionable insights that help HR and business leaders make informed talent and organizational decisions.

Identify trends and provide recommendations related to workforce performance, turnover, and engagement.

Drive automation and process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Stay current on Workday analytics capabilities, Power BI advancements, and industry HR analytics best practices.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with HR, Finance, IT, and regional teams to ensure alignment of reporting and analytics processes.

Use HR data and analytics to drive data‑informed decisions across HR and business functions.

Deliver clear, actionable insights that influence workforce and organizational strategies.

Translate complex data into simple narratives that support leadership decision‑making.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field required.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR reporting, analytics, and dashboarding, ideally within a global organization.

Strong hands‑on experience with Workday – including Advanced Reporting, Calculated Fields, Dashboards, and Discovery Boards.

Experience developing and maintaining Power BI reports and data models.

Proven ability to translate complex HR data into clear, actionable business insights.

Highly collaborative; able to partner across global teams and influence senior stakeholders.

Advanced proficiency in Workday Reporting and Analytics.

Deep understanding of HR data structures (e.g., headcount, turnover, comp, diversity, hierarchy).

Experience with data governance, security, and compliance processes (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).

Advanced understanding of Power BI, Excel, and data modeling.

The anticipated base pay range is: $123,605 USD - $162,232 USD.
