We are seeking a dedicated Structural Engineer who will be responsible for completing structural designs and drawings using AutoCAD, developing construction documents, and meeting with clients as needed. The position involves site visits for local projects and working on drawings, floor plans, as well as picking up red lines.
Responsibilities
Complete structural designs and drawings in AutoCAD.
Develop comprehensive construction documents.
Meet with clients to discuss project needs and updates.
Conduct site visits for local projects to ensure accuracy and quality.
Work on drawings, floor plans, and pick up red lines.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned for senior-level candidates.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in structural engineering and AutoCAD.
Experience in drafting and creating structural drawings.
Ability to conduct structural design and analysis.
Skill in using tools like enercalc.
5+ years of experience in structural engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
3 years of experience in drafting.
Experience working with concrete, steel, and wood materials.
Interest in obtaining licensure or currently on track for licensure.
Work Environment The position is based in an office environment with a team of three engineers. Flexibility is offered as life situations arise, and the standard work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM. The company provides an opportunity to work independently on a diverse portfolio of projects, including building design, forensic engineering, and restoration across industrial, commercial, residential, and religious project types. The consistent workflow is maintained through repeat clients.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Plaines, Illinois.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
