Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Field Service Technician in Houston TX. This is a fantastic opportunity to get on board with a rapidly growing with nationwide locations that invests heavily in its work‑force. There is unlimited room for career growth through on‑site, factory‑approved, computer‑based and classroom training (to include training on forklift repair, if you can bring a solid Mechanical background to the table!)
Role is 90% in the field with real‑time troubleshooting – local travel only, home nightly
Compensation: $26.00-32.00/hour base (+ OT, company vehicle + gas card, $2,500 interest‑free tool loan.)
What You Will Do
Diagnose, repair and maintain a variety of industrial equipment. Perform maintenance on newer battery‑powered equipment, as well as traditional diesel and gasoline industrial machinery; conduct diagnostics to identify equipment malfunctions; troubleshoot issues.
Interpret schematics, drawings, and technical manuals related to forklifts and other various construction equipment.
Will conduct preventative maintenance and inspections; address any issues as needed.
Communicate repair needs, provide estimates, and explain completed work to customers. Deliver exceptional customer service, ensure satisfaction and work with professionalism at all times.
Maintain a clean and professional service van; report maintenance needs promptly.
Education and Work Experience
Must have at least 4 years of US Military experience (Mechanical/Electrical MOS required)
Strong knowledge of machine diagnostics, schematics, and technical drawings required
Personable and professional demeanor, excellent customer service acumen
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Availability to work overtime, including occasional emergency service or weekend callouts
Technical Q&A (will discuss diagnostics, schematics, repairs)
Soft skills assessment (must possess clear communication, present with professionalism)
