Overview The Business Banking team actively calls on businesses that typically have annual revenue between $1MM and $25MM. The team includes relationship managers, client managers officers, treasury management officers and others who provide a suite of products and services that serve companies of this size. Our objective is to earn the title of trusted advisor and help these companies grow and prosper in our community.
Responsibilities
Manage strategic client relationships in Business Banking, including an existing portfolio of businesses and the acquisition of new business. Clients generally are between $25MM and $100MM in annual revenue.
Generate, retain, and expand lending, investment, and deposit relationships with new and existing clients through client referrals, centers of influence, and direct prospecting.
Develop, generate, and follow up on new client leads through existing clients, client referrals, COI referrals, and prospecting.
Manage overall relationship profitability and portfolio risk; responsible for profitable growth of the portfolio assigned (includes loans, deposits, and fee income).
Act as a consultant to clients and a resource to the Bank in developing and retaining business.
Provide insights and ideas for enhancing client relationships, cash flow, profitability, and efficiency.
Manage the overall credit quality of the assigned portfolio, including sales, credit analysis, loan structuring, client and prospect interviews.
Monitor and manage existing credit relationships, including note renewals, detailed analysis of financial statements and collateral valuations, credit analysis, cash flow analysis, delinquency reporting, documenting exceptions, covenant monitoring, and compliance with policy/regulation.
Negotiate loan proposals, analyze and evaluate credit requests, write loan commitments, recommend appropriate credit grade, make oral/written presentations to underwriters or loan committees, and implement approval or declination action.
Serve as the primary link for all financial services to individual Business Banking clients with the bank (Treasury Services, International, Trust, and Cash Vault).
Participate in community and professional activities to enhance the bank’s image and expand the personal network of business contacts for new business development.
Monitor accounts to identify potential credit problems and ensure proper loan documentation.
Communicate and collaborate with consistency and transparency with business banking teams and internal partners.
Consistently use and maintain CRM usage.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
At least 7 years of proven business banking sales experience with a strong record of selling to small business owners.
High level of business banking product knowledge and product innovation.
Strong knowledge of market and industry trends.
Strong ability to source and produce efficient credit opportunities.
Knowledge of credit and operational risk and ability to quantify potential exposure and advise team.
Strong understanding of credit underwriting.
Extensive knowledge of commercial lending practices and loan documentation/loan servicing requirements.
Advanced knowledge of financial analysis, including ratio and trend analysis and projections.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proven capacity to sell products and services within the financial services industry.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Compensation $57,760.00 - $124,170.00 (base salary)
