Overview The position

is for a Sales Representative within the

Industrial Process

(IP) Group. You are responsible for managing and growing the sales territory—selling engineering pumping equipment and service for consistent growth of ITT Gould's Pumps Industrial Process. This is accomplished through development of new and existing end-user customers within the territory. The Sales Representative is responsible for sales planning and achieving an annual sales forecast by meeting growth targets for a set territory in the Chicagoland / NW Indiana area.

Responsibilities May include:

Develop customers for increased portfolio sales by consultative selling and solution selling in an effort to meet all territory forecast and growth objectives.

Establish a positive personal relationship with key buying influencers at target accounts.

Make sales presentations to customers demonstrating our service and upgrade capabilities.

Establish and maintain Value Based Commercial Excellence account plans for the territory.

Maintain an electronic quote log for all open quotes in the territory.

Communicate to Sales Management via a monthly report on competitor information, customer needs, market conditions, issues, successes, and sales efforts.

Work closely with the ITT Gould's Pumps Chicago PRO (Pump Repair & Overhaul) Service Center.

Willingness to travel within the territory.

Display high degree of independence, requires little management guidance to meet objectives.

Qualifications Knowledge & Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a diverse client group.

Ability to assist in troubleshooting in-depth issues with rotating equipment.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret pump and system drawings.

Knowledge in General Industry (i.e., Steel Manufacturing), Oil & Gas (Refining & Midstream), Power Generation, and Chemical.

Previous experience selling rotating equipment repair and upgrade services.

Well-developed planning, organization, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Ability to produce clear, timely, and concise documentation and have well-developed problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP & quoting software, and web-based systems.

Experience:

2 – 5 Years of Technical Sales in Rotating Equipment

Education:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience or combination of education & experience.

Competencies:

Extensive experience with rotating equipment, pump mechanics, and hydraulics

Experience in selling Service/Aftermarket, New Equipment, & Spare Parts
