Registered Nurse CVOR

13+ Weeks (Possibility of extension)
Shift:
Day (4x10 Hours) | Between 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
2x8-hour shifts: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
2x12-hour shifts: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM
Day shift with
on-call required
Must be flexible
with scheduling between 6:30 AM and 11:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile and safe operating environment.
Prepare the CVOR with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to surgery.
Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes during procedures.
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs throughout the operation.
Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and patient care.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
Provide post-operative care and support to patients in recovery.
Participate in emergency cardiovascular procedures as needed.
Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR experience.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
CNOR certification preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
